Job Description

Eland Northam Platinum Mine are looking for a Code 14 driver with PDP and Forklift License - Brits North West 

Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensure truck checklists done and completed before starting the journey.
• Truck drivers need to ensure that the truck they drive is kept in good condition and that maintenance work is kept up to date.
• Ensure your truck and trailer is properly clean and sterilized and is roadworthy.
• Plan your route from supplier or cold store - collection point carefully.
• Loading trailer with forklift.
• Ensure your truck is not overloaded before leaving and verifying loads for accuracy.
• Ensure product information on product is recorded
• Report any challenges that might cause delays on your collection schedule, be it delivery to customers or gong for collection.
• Truck driver jobs also include administrative duties such as keeping truck logs and obtaining customer's signatures.
• Maintain and update the record of all deliveries
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner.
• Truck driver must stay in contact with their company while they are doing a collection or delivery.
• Truck driver needs to adhere to speed limits at all times.
• Truck driver is also expected to keep a safe following distance.
• No passengers on company trucks unless permission is granted by your superior.
• Truck driver must adhere to safety protocols, such as wearing seat belts and personal protective clothes.

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Ability to work independently and work within a team.
• Strong work ethic.
• Code 14 driver with PDP.
• Good communication skills.
• A clean driving record will be preferred.
• Must have Forklift license
