 IT CONTROL OFFICER

The IT Control Officer (ITCO) operates across both the IT Risk & IT Control domain. The primary responsibility of the ITCO is driving the assessment and implementation of IT controls that support technology and IT services. This includes the development of control procedures based on internal control frameworks and executes the assessment of IT process-related controls across the organization.

The ITCO is knowledgeable about best practices, procedures and frameworks in the IT Risk & IT Control domain. 

The ITCO will be part of an AGILE team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the assessment of IT controls across the organization;
• Develop and implement IT control procedures;
• Support the implementation of an AGILE approach to managing controls and evidencing;
• Understand business and IT processes and their landscape;
• Report on IT control and risks and issues;
• Identify weaknesses and exposures through  IT risk and control assessments;
• Support the design, implementation and testing of controls owned by the organization;
• Understand, inform, convince and influence stakeholders on risk, control best practices;
• Support awareness & training activities;
• Support in the execution of third party risk assessments and advice business partners on outcomes;

QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluent in English and Dutch, verbally and written;
• Decisive and able to convince others;
• Ability to communicate at various levels (user to managers);
• Analytical skills to be able to assess as well as propose actions or solutions.
• Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task;
• Awareness of the importance of timing and stakeholder management;
• Pragmatic and able to see where value can be added;
• Knowledge of control frameworks and industry best practices (e.g. COBIT, ISO27001, SOx);
