Paid Social Media Performance Designer

Job Description

We’re looking for a Performance Designer (Paid Social) to sit at the heart of our growth team. In this role, you’ll create high-performing static and motion creative for Meta and other paid channels, designed to stop the scroll, communicate value instantly, and drive measurable business results.

This is a role for someone who loves performance, psychology, and rapid experimentation. You won’t just make ads — you’ll help shape and evolve the clients performance creative language through testing, learning, and iteration.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing high-performing Meta ad creatives across static, GIF, and short-form motion
• Translating briefs, hooks, and performance insights into thumb-stopping creative concepts
• Working closely with Growth and Creative teams to understand what’s working and iterate quickly
• Producing multiple creative variants for structured A/B testing
• Repurposing existing brand assets into performance-optimised formats
• Supporting paid social with real-time creative optimisation based on campaign data
• Ensuring all creative follows brand guidelines while pushing boundaries for conversion
• Staying up to date with performance creative trends, competitor ads, and DR best practices
• Supporting visual storytelling across other paid channels when needed (TikTok, Google, YouTube)

What We’re Looking For

• 1 to 2 years’ experience in direct response or paid social design
• A portfolio showing paid social or DR-focused creative (agency or brand-side)
• Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, composition, and motion
• Experience designing for vertical short-form, mobile-first formats
• Basic motion design skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar)
• A data-informed mindset — you care about what converts, not just what looks good
• Ability to work quickly, iterate fast, and take feedback constructively
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when managing and exporting assets
