I’m Saranya, a dedicated UI/UX designer with a unique blend of creative design skills and an academic background in engineering. With a solid foundation in user experience principles, interface design, and front-end collaboration, I specialize in crafting clean, intuitive, and accessible digital products that are not only visually appealing but also highly functional. My journey into design began after five years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering, where I developed a strong sense of structure, problem-solving, and user empathy. Transitioning into UI/UX wasn’t just a career shift—it was a passion-driven move to bring impactful design to life. Over the past year, I’ve worked on a wide range of design projects including education platforms, healthcare websites, e-commerce interfaces, mobile apps, admin dashboards, and landing pages. As a designer, I believe that great design is not just about how things look but how they work. My process is rooted in understanding user needs, solving real problems, and simplifying digital interactions. I follow a structured design approach that includes user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and developer handoff—primarily using Figma as my main design tool. In addition to my design work, I’ve been actively involved in training aspiring designers and developers. I conduct hands-on sessions in UI/UX design, focusing on tools like Figma, design thinking, typography, color theory, and real-time project execution. My teaching style is practical and engaging—I love breaking down complex topics into easy-to-understand workflows that learners can apply immediately. I’ve also conducted webinars and short-term offline training programs for educational institutions and startups. Some of the real-world projects I’ve worked on include designing onboarding flows, gig-based app dashboards, mental health trackers, loyalty programs for food delivery, artist booking platforms, and ERP solutions for various industries. Each project helped me deepen my understanding of UX strategy, information architecture, and interaction design. I’m also comfortable working across the entire product lifecycle—right from idea to implementation. My design decisions are always backed by logic, user feedback, and business goals. I pay close attention to accessibility, responsiveness, and visual hierarchy to ensure the final product resonates with its target audience. Currently, I’m open to freelance projects, UI/UX training collaborations, and mentoring opportunities.
