My name is Dr. Manvi Dewan Badhwar, I'm from Dhramshala District kangra, Himachal Pradesh. As per my education I have done B tech in EE, MBA in HR and Marketing, MPhil in managment, HR Analytic course from IIM Rohtak and PhD in Management. Beside senior Counsellor in Global Ed Tech and provide guidance to research scholars to have analytical thinking. Course Description:

This course explores the behavior of individuals and groups within organizational settings and examines how this behavior affects performance, motivation, leadership, communication, and organizational effectiveness. Topics include personality, perception, motivation theories, team dynamics, leadership styles, organizational culture, change management, and conflict resolution. The course aims to develop students' ability to analyze and influence behavior at individual, group, and organizational levels, enabling them to foster productive, ethical, and adaptable workplace environments.

Module 1: Introduction to Organizational Behavior

  • Definition, nature, and scope of Organizational Behavior
  • Importance of OB for managers and organizations
  • Historical evolution of OB
  • Key approaches to OB: Classical, behavioral, and modern approaches
  • Overview of individual, group, and organizational-level behavior
  • Ethical issues and diversity in OB

Module 2: Individual Behavior and Motivation

  • Personality: Definition, types, and theories (Big Five, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)
  • Perception: Process, factors, and distortions
  • Learning and behavior: Theories (Classical and Operant Conditioning, Social Learning)
  • Motivation theories: Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, McClelland’s Theory of Needs, Vroom’s Expectancy Theory
  • Job satisfaction, employee engagement, and well-being

Module 3: Group Behavior and Team Dynamics

  • Group formation and development (Tuckman’s stages of group development)
  • Types of groups: Formal and informal groups
  • Group roles, norms, and cohesiveness
  • Teamwork: Characteristics of effective teams
  • Conflict in teams and organizations: Types, sources, and resolution strategies
  • Leadership in teams: Styles and theories (Trait Theory, Behavioral Theory, Contingency Theory)

Module 4: Leadership and Power in Organizations

  • Leadership theories: Trait, behavioral, contingency, transformational, and transactional leadership
  • Sources of power in organizations: Legitimate, reward, coercive, expert, and referent power
  • Leadership styles and their impact on organizational performance

Module 5: Organizational Culture, Change, and Development

  • Impact of culture on organizational performance and employee behavior
