Automation Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for Automation Test Engineers with Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) experience in India. This is a contract role (12 months contract to start with) and will be work from home. 

Primary Skills List: 

• 5-8 years of experience in testing practice 

• 3+ years of experience in testing various GUI/non-GUI based applications developed using Selenium WebDriver and Java language. 

• Able to execute SQL queries and basic knowledge of SQL 

• Extensive experience in test automation testing for at least 2 projects 

• Hands-on experience in writing scenarios and testcases from requirements & user stories 

• Well versed with data-driven Test Automation using MS Excel / XML / Database driven Tests

Secondary Skills List: 

• Experience in working with global delivery models, leveraging cross location distributed teams 

• Knowledge of current industry wide Quality & Test processes and practices, tools, and techniques 

• Experience in Test Management Tools like HP ALM / JIRA. 

• Exposure to popular development approaches in the market - Agile, Waterfall approach 

• Exposure to Payments domain 

Responsibilities: 

• Understand customer testing needs - current processes as well as future requirements around testing 

• Is responsible for all test automation related activities right from test automation framework design, development, implementation + automation planning & execution 

• Is responsible for closely working with the testing team and ensuring that all defects are fixed in a timely manner 

• Is responsible to work with the various stakeholders of the project in ensuring delivery on time 

• A good team player and ready to take up additional responsibilities when required. 

• Excellent communication skills – within and outside of the organization, across teams, with customers – both horizontally and vertically, is important.
