Job Description
Role: Azure SQL DBA
Tech Stack – strong SQL skills for the following:
- Azure SQL Databases
- Azure SQL MI
Azure SQL Managed Instance & Database Alerting
- Advise client on key areas for performance and monitoring – understanding of Azure AMBA or native tooling to be leveraged
- Work with client team to enhance Azure alerting and integration with client incident management tooling
Azure SQL DBA Support
- Provide guidance and support to client team, who have background in On-premise SQL and are up skilling on Azure
Multi Region expansion
- Provide support with client expansion to a secondary region
- Design documentation updates, with consideration for any impact to backup and immutability solutions
- Support OAT and failover testing, providing input to define test scenarios/criteria
Soft Skills - Will be only person on the team working solely with client DBA team – with support from senior member of wider team.
- Ability to work autonomously with good communication skills
