Cloud Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Consultant to assist clients in defining, implementing, and optimizing their cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud architecture and services, coupled with consulting skills to assess business needs and recommend solutions. This role will collaborate closely with client teams to design cloud strategies, migrate workloads, and ensure the secure, scalable, and efficient operation of cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess clients' current IT infrastructure and identify opportunities for cloud solutions that enhance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Develop cloud architecture designs and deployment strategies tailored to clients’ business and technical requirements.
• Lead cloud migration projects, including workload assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration support.
• Configure and optimize cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and security components across cloud platforms.
• Conduct regular performance, security, and cost reviews of cloud environments to ensure optimal operation and compliance with industry standards.
• Provide expert guidance on multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies, assisting clients in selecting the best mix of services.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and configurations.
• Train and support client IT teams to enhance their capabilities in managing and optimizing cloud systems.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, tools, and best practices to provide clients with up-to-date recommendations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking) and services.
• Hands-on experience with cloud migration, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and cost management best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
