Database QA Lead

Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking a Database QA Lead with strong expertise in SQL, data analysis, quality assurance, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS. This role combines deep QA skills with a strong analytical mindset to ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems. You’ll be responsible for leading QA initiatives on data-centric projects, validating data transformations, and collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data systems. 

Key Responsibilities: ● Lead QA strategy for database and data pipeline projects, ensuring high standards for data quality, reliability, and performance. ● Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, data integrity, completeness, and transformations. ● Perform exploratory data analysis to identify anomalies, trends, or potential data quality issues. ● Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data workflows, business rules, and validation criteria. ● Design and implement comprehensive test plans for structured and unstructured datasets. ● Develop automated test scripts and frameworks to support regression testing and data validation. ● Utilize AWS services (e.g., Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, Athena) for QA tasks across cloud data infrastructure. ● Create detailed QA documentation, test cases, and reports. ● Mentor junior QA team members and promote data quality best practices across projects. ● 

Required Qualifications: ● 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Data QA, with at least 2 years in a lead role. ● Proven ability to perform advanced SQL querying and data analysis (joins, aggregations, CTEs, performance tuning). ● Experience testing data-intensive applications, data lakes, data warehouses, or ETL/ELT pipelines. ● Proficiency with AWS cloud services (especially Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda). ● Familiarity with data profiling and validation tools. ● Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. ● Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Preferred Qualifications: ● Experience with BI/reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker). Location: Remote About Neutrino Advisory: ● Exposure to QA automation tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTest, dbt tests, Postman, or custom SQL-based test automation). ● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for QA.
