DevOps Engineer  

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Hybrid

• The DevOps Engineer work to ensure that code releases go smoothly, analysing data for improvements and optimization. 
• They manage software development operations, implement engineering tools and use their process knowledge to streamline updates or creation. 

Skills: 

• Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role (Progression from Java developer or Support Engineer) 
• Good knowledge of Ruby or Python, groovy & shell scripting 
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL 
• Linux, One or mutli cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS), Kubernetes/Docker 
• Monitoring (any-one): Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Azure Monitor, AWS Cloudwatch,  Dynatrace 
• Security: ISO - 27001, Threat Modelling, NSA - Zero Trust Model, Risk /Threat 
• Analysis, Container Scans, Gemalto HSM (Hardware Security Module) for PKI, Hashicorp Vault, Splunk. Implementation of ISO, NIST, CSA, and CIS best practices, and Cert management (Any-one) 
• Load Balancers / Middleware/ Stream Processing: Nginx, HAproxy, Redis, Kafka (Any-one) 
• Problem-solving attitude, Team spirit, solution consulting 
• Configuration management expérience (Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Git : Any-one) 
• Ability to present and communicate the architecture in a visual form 
• BS  in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field 

Responsibilities: 

• Improve CI/CD tooling. 
• Implement and improve monitoring and alerting. 
• Build and maintain highly available systems. 
• Implement the CI pipeline. 
• Implement and maintain monitoring stacks. 
• Lead and guide the team in identifying and implementing new technologies. 
• Implement and own the CI. 
• Manage CD tooling. 
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting. 
• Build and maintain highly available production systems.
