EHR EPIC INTEGRATION ENGINEER

Job Description

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Epic EHR Integration Engineer to own the design, delivery, and evolution of integrations between Azodha's platform and health system environments. This role spans technical architecture, client implementation, and pre-sales solutioning — making it ideal for a seasoned integration professional who thrives at the intersection of technology and healthcare.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Integration Architecture & Delivery

• Architect and implement scalable integrations using HL7 v2/v3, FHIR R4, REST/GraphQL APIs, and Epic Bridges/Interconnect
• Evaluate and deploy integration middleware and iPaaS tools (Mirth Connect, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, or equivalent)
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all integration workflows (HIPAA, SOC 2)
• Leverage AWS cloud infrastructure and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) to support robust data pipelines
• Define integration governance standards and drive best practices across implementations

Client Implementation & Success

• Lead end-to-end integration delivery for health system clients — from requirements through go-live and stabilization
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for client integration workstreams, managing escalations and ensuring timely resolution
• Translate clinical and operational workflows into well-architected, maintainable integration solutions

Pre-Sales & Solutioning

• Support business development by leading technical discovery, scoping integration requirements, and delivering compelling solution demonstrations
• Establish technical credibility with health system IT and clinical leadership during the sales cycle

Product & Platform Collaboration

• Influence Azodha's interoperability roadmap by surfacing patterns and opportunities from client engagements
• Contribute to reusable integration frameworks, accelerators, and documentation
• Monitor Epic releases, FHIR standard evolution, and CMS/ONC regulatory developments to keep the platform ahead of the curve

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of Epic integration experience, including complex, multi-entity health system implementations
• Deep proficiency in HL7 v2/v3, FHIR R4, REST and GraphQL APIs, and Epic Bridges/Interconnect
• Active Epic certification required; multiple module certifications preferred
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integration platforms (MuleSoft, Azure API Management, AWS HealthLake, or similar)
• Strong grasp of healthcare data standards (SNOMED, LOINC, ICD, CCD/CDA) and cross-system architecture principles
• Working knowledge of AWS, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and CI/CD practices
• Exposure to Node.js/TypeScript a plus
• Proven ability to engage and influence clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders
• Prior experience in a SaaS, consulting, or product company strongly preferred
