As a Forecasting Analyst, you will be developing complex forecasting models to support the business and its partners to plan and deliver to the highest standard. You will be working with large, complex data from all departments and external market and geographic data, and providing insight to accurately predicted and plan sales , energy , …etc.
Role & responsibilities:
Build and maintain complex forecasting models
Providing a holistic view of the full trading history and using this insight for future forecasting
Working with huge data sets across marketing, operations, sales and linking this with external market, trends and geographical data
Providing insight to support client and partner strategy
Delivering accurate daily, weekly and monthly forecasts
Skills & experience:
Previous experience in a forecasting or modelling analytical role
Proven ability to produce complex, statistical models
Advanced user of SQL, R or Python
Alteryx experience is desirable
Ability to work with large complex databases
Delivering insight and making recommendations
Basic Qualifications
M.S. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics or a related quantitative field
1+ years of hands-on experience in predictive modeling and analysis
1+ years hands-on experience in Python, Perl, Scala, Java, C#, C++ or other similar languages
Proficiency in model development, model validation and model implementation for large-scale applications
Ability to convey mathematical results to non-science stakeholders Strength in clarifying and formalizing complex problems
Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. , Master Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics or a related quantitative field
1+ years of practical experience applying ML to solve complex problems in an applied environment
Significant peer-reviewed scientific contributions in premier journals and conferences
Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, problem solving, algorithm design and complexity analysis
Experience with defining research and development practices in an applied environment
Proven track record in technically leading and mentoring scientists
Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts
Excellent interpersonal communication with strong verbal / written English skills
