Job Description - HR Assistant / Specialist (Talent Acquisition)

Job Summary

A Talent Acquisition Assistant is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective employees to find the perfect match for a company's long-term goals. They factor into this process that people play an important role and will be key players of success going forward.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaising with internal departments to determine recruitment needs
  • Determining selection criteria, hiring profiles, and job requirements for vacant positions
  • Sourcing potential candidates through online company career portals, recruitment sites, job boards, social platforms, as well as print media, posters, and flyers, when required
  • Managing hiring processes via electronic Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Evaluating applications and screening candidates via calls or emails, as well as facilitating pre-interview assessments
  • Compiling interview questions and conducting in-person or video call interviews with shortlisted candidates
  • Preparing hiring forecasts as part of the company's strategic planning
  • Documenting processes and fostering good relationships with potential candidates and past applicants and
  • Developing hiring strategies and procedures in line with industry trends, as well as keeping informed of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources Management, Philosophy or similar.
  • 1-2 years of experience in end-to-end hiring process
  • Registered Psychometrician is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Ability to liaise with internal departments and develop hiring strategies and profiles
  • Advanced knowledge of effective hiring platforms that attract suitable applicants
  • Exceptional ability to screen candidates, compile shortlists and interview candidates
  • Experience in creating awareness of the company brand and establishing professional relationships with candidates
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends and
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

DMCI Power Corporation (DPC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of DMCI Holdings Inc., was established in 2006 to energize the small and remote islands in the country that are not connected to the main power grid. DPC utilizes all available technology that could provide reliable and sustainable supply of electricity to the islands. DPC continues to pursue its vision of becoming a major off-grid player in the Philippine power industry as it has established its presence in three (3) major provinces: Masbate, Palawan, and Mindoro, all categorized as missionary areas by the government. In addition, DPC has ventured to power generation in the province of Sultan Kudarat which started its commercial operations last December 2016. The company provides off-grid power to missionary areas through long-term power supply agreements with Masbate Electric Cooperative (MASELCO), Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (ORMECO) and Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO).
