Hardware Engineer

Job Description

Design schematic and circuit diagram.
Design PCB to ensure error-free layout. Ability to design 4 layer PCBs is a must.
Prototype hardware to ensure full functionality given the requirements.
Debug and solve errors in prototype.
Support existing hardware and rectify issues
Document root cause and solution
Work with regulatory agencies to obtain EMI/EMC, ESD, safety, vibration and other appropriate clearances
Drive system-level and firmware-level testing
Create test scripts, rigs and equipment to automate hardware and firmware testing for production
Document test results
Design and maintain test set-up for production testing

Desired skills:
The ideal candidate is someone from an automotive electronics background who has designed hardware and firmware at component, board and systems levels to produce high volume, low power, small form factor and high quality automotive products.
Must have a BS EE (MS EE preferred)
Solid understand of RF, EMF, power, analog, digital and re-chargeable battery fundamentals.
