Job Description

Job Title: IT Service Desk Support Technician

Reporting to: Service Desk manager

Department: Group IT

Main Purpose: Request Logging and resolution of basic IT Issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To log and classify all requests received via the service desk application, phone and in person
• Perform initial diagnosis of all requests
• Provide remote assistance over the phone and via use of remote support tools
• To install, reinstall or configure software on computers and handheld devices
• Complete account administration tasks including user creation, deletion, password resets and permission changes on multiple systems
• To image, configure and deploy new computers
• To complete routine administration tasks and processes
• Receive, review and update documentation to assist with the resolution of requests
• To Maintain accurate records relating to incidents, requests, assets and licenses 
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems/services and peripheral devices;
• Talking staff through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone;
• To support the Service desk Manager

Scale: Working as part of the service desk team based at Rocester providing IT Support to Staff
