Job Description: Will be responsible for providing overall direction, definition and design/build and delivery of the Operational Technology programmes for Client in the UK. Will lead the operational technology strategy for a client which includes selecting the right communication strategy, right set of RTUs/ telemetry equipment and the right SCADA solution. This will also include the exploration of the newer ways of OT ways of working like IoT and newer communications technology like NB IoT. Industry knowledge and experience • Manage a high performing team and lead the team against these objectives: o Delivery of the project in relation to past, against established targets and vis-a-vis competitors o Increase productivity, performance, quality and range of products/solutions o Build the brand for talent acquisition and business development growth • Lead client and Client teams to ensure – product/solution creation efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, cost-effective management of resources and maximum staff utilization within the allocated budget • Manage all financial aspects of the project – product pricing, profitability, growth, P&L for the project. • Manage the positioning of Client in terms of widened product/solution portfolio and competitive preferences prevailing at the client. Evaluate the current solution road map against industry best practices • Lead a team of highly skilled and passionate knowledge practitioners to deliver major initiatives in designing and building innovative, customized products • Build strong business partnerships with other business internally/externally to enable game changing process and solutions improvements o Partner with technology team within Client and establish an eco-system of technology partners to create technically cohesive and functionally integrated solutions wherever required o Build strong relationships within the Client network to develop and promote new product development ideas o Maintain and sustain relations with local public and political authorities and other industry bodies • Drive continuous improvement and assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives in your area of responsibility through lean/innovative thinking/ideas • Build organizational capability through proactive coaching of the direct reports on skill-building and career development. Formulate career progression roadmaps for the entire team Education • Engineering - OT / ICA / Water engineering • Desired - Masters degree/MBA or equivalent learning Experience • At least 12-15 years of experience in critical control room environments, IT/OT and Industrial Process Control (traffic controls, large industries, power, gas, water treatment, chemical, food processing, etc.) • Knowledge of the energy(power/gas) and/or water utilities sector is desirable but not essential • Proven technical and commercial solutioning experience in control rooms, smart infrastructure (smart grids, real time /active network management), Industrial Control Systems(SCADA products- Schneider/GE/Siemens etc.), PLC & Instrumentation, Telemetry, Industrial Control Networks, Alarm Management, network design, and IoT solutions • Proven experience in conceptualising and implementing innovative solutions to deliver operational efficiencies and/or benefits in managing the network operations. At least 5 years of experience in leading and directing teams to deliver a programme for a CXO client. • At least 5 years of experience in working with Senior Leadership to consult and advise on strategic solutions • Knowledge practitioner and spokesperson for Control Room design, IoT technologies, IT/OT end-to-end solutions, equipment, communications, etc… Key Competencies: • Self starter; can-do approach • Ambitious big-thinker balanced with realistic and hands-on approach • Being passionate about next generation control rooms and the utilities sector in particular
