Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

A Client of mine who are into the business of building and managing apartments in the MINNESOTA area is looking for a "MEP Engineer".

Responsibilities:

• Develop design documents in all phases, from initial feasibility analysis and schematic design through final construction documents and construction admin

• Coordinate with Architect, Civil, Structural and construction trades to optimize designs

• Uphold professional code of ethics

• Work in Revit to integrate plumbing and mechanical with architectural and structural components

• Assist in development of in-house prefabrication of components at an offsite factory

• Design plans and review plans to meet all MN Codes

• Regular site inspections for quality control

• Answer RFI’s and review shop drawings

• Research and implement Value Engineering ideas/designs 

Required Skills:

• Licensed MN Professional Engineer (Not Mandatory)

• 5+ years of experience with plumbing and mechanical engineering

• Must be well organized, detailed oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCad, & Bluebeam

• Knowledge of MN building code (Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas, Energy, and relevant Building Code sections)

• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
