Piping Designer

Job Description

Reports to the Team Leader/TM.

 Capable of doing the Plant Layout, pipe / duct routing independently with minimum

instructions once the necessary information (P&IDs, Layout, Foundation, Steel,

Equipment Orientation drawing) is made available.

 Assumes/drafts piping / duct routings for each process section considering all aspects of

good engineering practices.

 Good experience in developing plot plan, equipment layout, piping layout & piping

isometric.

 Knowledge of Pipe supports, Vendor drawing review, nozzle orientation check, bill of

material.

 Hands on experience in 3D modelling of equipment, steel, piping & ducting

 Should be ready to take part in site survey as need arises.

 Completes accordingly and accurately the piping drawings & can find out the bill of

material (quantities of pipes, fittings, accessories, etc.) that is required to complete the

piping at site.

 Communicates internally in case clarifications are required to complete the piping

drawings as per schedule.

 Contributes, in collaboration with other team members, to the development and

improvement of working methods, specifications, tools, etc.
