Production Manager

Job Description

Production Managers often work with a Production Team, collaborating to meet any quotas that need to be completed.

Job Responsibilities

• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
• Oversee and coach employees
• Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
• Check production output according to specifications
• Submit reports on performance and progress
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
• Ensure production associates are properly trained for their roles, and sufficient cross-training is in place for business continuity
• Collaborate with appropriate departments and support teams to solve problems and respond to concerns/issues
• Help resolve customer complaints, production difficulties and planning issues, using structured root cause analysis tools
• He will plan & monitor EHS activities.
• Lead or assist in strategic projects, production expansions and/or process/procedure modifications
• Additionally, this position will work with support departments to proactively plan and/or address concerns/issues that may prevent optimal production safety, quality and efficiency

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
• Advanced skills in MS Office
• Organizational and leadership abilities
