Job Description

Midwest Metal Fabrications is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Remote Live Chat Agent to support customer inquiries and provide real-time assistance through online chat platforms. As a key point of contact, you will help customers with product questions, order updates, service requests, and general information related to our metal fabrication services.

In this role, you will manage multiple chat conversations while delivering accurate, clear, and professional responses. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can quickly understand customer needs, provide helpful solutions, and ensure a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via live chat in a timely and professional manner
• Provide information on products, custom fabrication services, and order status
• Assist customers with quotes, specifications, and general service questions
• Manage multiple chat sessions simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot basic issues and escalate complex inquiries to appropriate departments
• Document customer interactions in CRM or internal systems
• Follow company policies, procedures, and communication standards
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in every interaction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous customer service or live chat experience preferred
• Strong written communication and typing skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with chat or CRM tools
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
• Interest in manufacturing or metal fabrication is a plus
