Job Description

MARCo Health is a cutting edge healthtech startup looking for a front-end and/or fullstack developer to assist the internal technical team with the upkeep, maintenance, and research and development of a mental health software suite. The product is MARCo: the Mental-Health Assisting Robot Companion - a mental-health chatbot that is usable as both an app and a hardware robot. Desired outcomes from this role would include:

• Improving user experience and increasing user retention
• Giving users additional capabilities for monitoring and reviewing personal and client progress

Projects that the developer may work on may include:

• Building upon original app onboarding screen to include new form fields
• Adding new screens to the app’s UI for challenges, rewards, and data tracking
• Developing front end screens for a secondary web application which pulls data from the existing application and presents it to a professional manager
• Implementing push and local notifications to drive user engagement
• Updating in-app monetization capabilities to reflect new pricing models
• Adding native modules to the application such as bluetooth and camera for easier connection to and interfacing with the hardware device

DESIRED SKILLS: Frontend development required, full-stack development preferred. Experience with cross platform development preferred. Javascript proficiency required. Java and Swift skills are a plus but not required.

TECH STACK: 

• Node.JS backend
• Firebase Database
• Vue.js frontend
• Ionic Capacitor + Cordova plugins for Native App Bridge
• Visual Studio IDE
• Android Studio and XCode for testing

HOURS AND TIMELINE: 

Job would last estimated 3-6 months as a minimum, may be extended further provided a good working relationship and a budgetary allowance

Required hours per week would be flexible. 20-40 is desired.
