Job Description

Patrolling: Regularly walking, driving, or otherwise covering designated areas to monitor for any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or violations of rules.

Access Control: Checking identification and authorization of visitors and employees entering or exiting premises.

Monitoring: Observing security cameras, alarms, and other systems to detect potential threats or incidents.

Responding to Alarms and Incidents: Investigating alarms, fires, theft, or other emergencies and taking appropriate action, which may involve de-escalating situations, apprehending suspects, or contacting emergency services.

Reporting: Documenting observations, incidents, and security breaches in written reports.

Administrative and Assistance:

Greeting and Directing: Providing directions and information to visitors and employees.

Lockup and Security Checks: Ensuring all doors, windows, and security systems are properly secured at the end of the shift.

Fire Safety and First Aid: Performing basic first aid and fire safety duties as needed.

Customer Service: Assisting with non-security related tasks like unlocking offices or providing directions.

Additional Responsibilities:

Traffic Control: Directing vehicles and pedestrians, especially in parking areas or during events.

Loss Prevention: Monitoring for potential theft or vandalism and deterring criminal activity.
