Senior Backend Developer

Job Description

Job Overview: 

Must be comfortable working alone, as well as working with a multidisciplinary agile team formed of Product Managers & software engineers across Backend, Frontend, QA. 

Required skills: 

• Professional experience writing microservices ideally in Kotlin (or Java). 

• Excellent knowledge of software engineering practices in particular applied to backend, infrastructure, and deployment in the cloud. 

• Some experience with at least 1 of the following languages: Kotlin, Java 

 • GIT versioning 

• Testing (Unit Testing, Integration Testing, etc.) Advantageous skills: 

• Ruby, Python, Node.JS 

• Experience in transitioning from monolithic to microservices 

• Microservices on GCP or AWS 

• Kubernetes • Experience with Agile methodologies, 

• Experience with Atlassian toolset 

• Assist us in building & extending robust, scalable, and reliable microservices 

• Use software engineering best practices including: 

• Applying OOP patterns 

• Applying clean architectural practices 

• Write automated unit and integration testing 

• Code refactoring 

• Code review 

• Applying strong application security practice
