Job Description – Business development leader, Americas

 

This role is responsible for the driving business revenue and growth of Company in the United States of America. The role will be a part of leadership of the Americas business and will focus on building, nurturing strategic relationships with clients. 

 

Reporting to : 

Vice-President (Business)

 

Roles and responsibilities : 

 

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the entire business development function and a team of business development professionals to ensure that client achieves its revenue targets.

 

Business Strategy and decision making :

  • Manage the business development function in entirety.
  • Supervise and manage the team of business development professionals in USA.
  • Design and implement Client business strategy both for short term and long term in the USA.
  • Drive the top line and bottom line for the Americas business unit at Client.
  • Take decisions on budget allocation for manpower and infrastructure.

 

New Business :

  • Add new customers to the existing portfolio of Client both in the east and west coast.
  • Meet potential customers in the USA and provide emerging technology solutions to meet with their business objectives.
  • Diversify the domain expertise of Client solutions by working with customers from varied sectors such as Manufacturing,Banking,Healthcare,E-Commerce etc.

 

Existing relationships :

  • Work directly with strategic clients in the USA and spearhead the design and implementation of their digital business solutions.
  • Meet with clients in-person to identify potential areas of improvement in their digital processes.
  • Act a consultant to clients and vendor partners to ensure their business processes are optimized by utilization of latest technological innovations.

 

Vendor management :

  • Build a strong business relationships with local vendors for providing infrastructure support that can be scaled as and when required.

 

Representation :

  • Physically represent Client and its advance digital solutions at various forums and events.

 

Research and development :

  • Conduct research and development in technology with the help of local universities to design innovative business solutions.

 

Build local talent pool :

  • Hire and nurture local talent to support the Americas practice of Client
  • Partner with local universities to train and mentor students in latest technological advancements.

 

Manage local teams :

  • Supervise and control the daily functioning of the local teams
  • Set up KRAs and KPIs and measure their performance.
  • Mentor team members in order to help them achieve individual and team targets.

 

 

Academic and Professional Qualification : 

 

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Computer science from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute
  • Proven experience in taking managing a strategic business unit both from a cost and revenue perspective.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Leadership team member in any one of Client strategic business unit.

  • Ability to lead and drive large teams by defining clear objectives and KPI’s
  • In depth understanding of Macro and Micro economic parameters
  • A long term growth oriented mindset to ensure that business results are met
  • A customer first approach to ensure digital solutions are designed to meet the customers business objectives.
