Job Description

The following are the major job responsibilities for the VP technical and operations which are highlighted below:

 

  • A competent engineer from a good university having experience of a unit head/gm in running the operations of a unit. Age not more than 48 Years. An engineer with Management experience is preferred.

 

  • A dynamic individual & Leader who can derive cost effective quality production from the units.

 

  • Adept & has wide experience in handling & planning preventive maintenance of line & machine equipment, handling of water consumption & water handling and running of all day-to-day operations.

 

  • Has dealt with statuary compliances of the unit including technical representations and handling statutory agencies such as PCB, Factory act, PESO Etc.

 

  • Salary: Best in the industry.

 

  • Location: Bhopal

 

  • The suitable candidate shall travel to each unit once a month for a minimum of 6 days to carry out the detailed job responsibilities as mentioned below initially. Once things are streamlined the tenure can be reduced subject to management approval.

 

 

 

THE DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILTIES ARE AS UNDER:

 

  1. Costing- Fixed and variable review and cost reduction measures and monthly report on the same. Review all units monthly on the Matrix of cost efficiency, manpower and quality.
  2. Quality measures in terms of SOP followed. 
  3. Quality Assurance & Audit measures taken during the month and monthly report on the same.
  4. Logistic & Freight inward cost of all product lines and raw-materials, packaging materials and monthly report on the same.
  5. Industry norms Vs. our unit’s actual cost on monthly basis as per format.
  6. Looking after tie-ups of all existing, future units on cost, quality & efficiency.
  7. Setting up & Monitoring of supply chain infrastructure and returnable glass bottles network in MP and other States.
  8. Streamlining dispatches of all 3 units as per market demand.  Conducting logistics tender as well as building transport infrastructure.
  9. Reviewing, preparing, and executing monthly purchase budget with estimation on working capital need for all the units for raw materials, packing materials, molasses, grain, transport, spares, and repairs.
  10. Initiating new cost saving projects for purchases in distilleries and breweries.
  11. Preventive maintenance schedule and maintaining equipment as goods as new. Monthly maintenance cost and Annual Maintenance cost with adequate spare availability for the units, reporting comparison of targeted v/s. actual cost for all units monthly.
  12. Conducting monthly production review meetings based on cost, market complaints quality and presenting to the Senior Management with variance and solution to the variance with proposed timelines.
  13. Coordinating all India operation of Plants in terms of dispatches from SOM as well as Contractual bottling units.
  14. Presenting Operating Cost of P & L for each unit of actual cost Vs. budgeted cost unit wise/head wise.
  15. Introducing standardize SOPs or safety, fire and housekeeping in all the units.
  16. Conducting risk audits and ensuring units landscaping of all SOM’s units.
  17. Reviewing operation on weekly levels in terms of Line efficiency and Individual machine efficiency and coordinating it.
  18. Handling all statutory and liasioning agencies such as PCB etc, for all the units.
  19. Managing all O&M Agencies within pre-decided cost. If required to change the agency, then coordinating of the above in pre-defined budget.
  20. Recruitment of new and replacement of Manpower at Units at all levels.
  21. Sales dispatch coordination with excise department for smooth supplies.
  22. Monitoring & review of ETP operation & maintenance & Water Recycling operations.
