BIO:
My name is Disha Ghosh, and I am an enthusiastic and committed educator with two years of experience in teaching Information Technology (IT) and Business subjects in the online education sector. I have worked with two leading edtech platforms — Bhanzu and BYJU’S, where I honed my skills in digital teaching, curriculum development, and student engagement. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with a specialization in Business, which has provided me with a strong academic foundation in areas such as marketing, operations, strategic management, and organizational behavior. My deep interest in technology, combined with formal business training, has enabled me to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications while teaching students. During my time at BYJU’S, I taught Business and IT subjects to students in higher secondary and early undergraduate levels. My teaching covered key business topics like entrepreneurship, marketing principles, financial literacy, and business communication, as well as core IT areas such as basics of programming, digital literacy, and information systems. I designed lesson plans that were tailored to individual learning levels, ensuring that students with varied academic backgrounds could understand and apply concepts effectively. At Bhanzu, although the primary focus was on mathematical thinking and logical reasoning, I incorporated IT tools and digital methods to enhance conceptual clarity and interactive learning. I frequently used platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams, along with digital whiteboards and LMS systems, to conduct live classes and assessments. My ability to use educational technology efficiently allowed me to maintain high levels of student interest and participation, even in virtual environments. My approach to teaching is rooted in clarity, engagement, and adaptability. I believe that students learn best when complex topics are broken down into relatable, real-life examples. In IT, for instance, I often use analogies from everyday tech usage — such as social media algorithms or mobile apps — to explain abstract concepts like data structures or software systems. For Business subjects, I encourage case study discussions and practical examples from the corporate world to connect theory with practice. I have also collaborated with parents and academic coordinators to track student progress and develop improvement plans. My communication skills, patience, and ability to personalize teaching based on student needs have contributed to consistently positive feedback from both learners and guardians. Looking ahead, I aim to combine my passion for education with my knowledge in business and technology to take on roles in curriculum design, academic leadership, or edtech innovation. I am particularly interested in contributing to digital learning initiatives that support skill development and career readiness in today’s fast-evolving job market. In conclusion, I bring a unique blend of business insight, technological proficiency, and a student-centered mindset to teaching. I am eager to continue making learning meaningful and accessible for students, while also growing as a professional in the education and technology space.
